Captain John F. Champy

CPT Champy assumed his current duties as the Assistant Professor of Military Science on 29 June 2005. His previous assignments include: Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader, and Battalion Intelligence Officer, 1st Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Support Platoon Leader and Battalion Logistics Officer, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment (AFAR), 82nd Airborne Division, FT. Bragg, North Carolina; Battalion Operations Officer, Task Force Fire Support Officer, and Battery Commander, 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division, FT. Hood, Texas. CPT Champy served as a Scout Company Commander while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.

CPT Champy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Northeast Louisiana University, Monroe, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Field Artillery School (Officer Basic and Advanced Courses), the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and the U.S. Army Airborne School.

CPT Champy's awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Parachutist Badge.

Sergeant First Class Michael J. Keyes

SFC Keyes assumed his current duties as the Senior Enlisted Instructor on 1 April 2005. His previous assignments include rifleman, team leader, and squad leader, 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, GA; RIP Detachment, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, GA; Instructor, U.S. Army Physical Fitness School, Fort Benning, GA; Observer/Controller, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, LA; Infantry Platoon Sergeant, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI; Observer/Controller, National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA; and Specialty Platoon Sergeant, 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Lewis, WA.

SFC Keyes, while assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, participated in Operation Just Cause in Panama including the initial combat parachute jump. SFC Keyes also completed one combat tour with the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team in Iraq.

SFC Keyes awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (with "V" device for valor), the Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), the Army Commendation Medal (with "V" device for valor, one silver oak leaf cluster, one oak leaf cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (with four oak leaf clusters), the National Defense Service Medal (with star), the Army Expeditionary Medal (with arrowhead device), the Good Conduct Medal (with four knot rope), the Global War on Terrorism Expeditonary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Ranger Tab, the Combat Infantry Badge (with star), the Master Parachutist Badge (with combat jump), and the Pathfinder Badge.
